On June 28th, LFFP held their inaugural open house for the brand new Peace Education Oasis located in Piscataway National Park. The event was a great success with over 90 people in attendance who enjoyed touring the house and surrounding property, playing games, planting flower seeds, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of this new retreat center.Once completed, the Oasis will provide a space for children and adults alike to find peace in nature, be restored, and bring skills of peace back to our communities. It will host a wide variety of events and resources including retreats, workshops, and orientations. The peace museum, library, garden, art barn, hermitage, trail, retreat center and meeting spaces complete the center.
