Chalk for Peace

The start of a new school year brought the Tuesday Peace Club in Mount Rainier, to 30th and Arundel Road to gather around the Peace Pole. There, the children used chalk to write messages of peace and also to draw pictures of peace such as the one of a peaceful town with green buildings, affordable housing, and community gardens. They also got to check out the vegetable garden around the Peace Pole where they found tomatoes and squash!-Rebecca
