World Peace Party

On Sunday, September 20th, Suzanne and Monica travelled up scenic Ridge Road to Sweet Peace Farm in Westminster, Md. There we shared our peace education work with others who seek, celebrate, and work for peace.

The picturesque farm was holding an inaugural World Peace Party, and attendees revealed the many ways of peace. There were several food vendors selling yummy veggie food, including the funky Big Bear's Bus Cafe that ran off veggie oil. There were also spiritual peacemakers including Hare Krishna and Sukyo Mahikari. We also enjoyed meeting some who share our peace method, including folks from Learning by Heart who teach self-confidence, problem solving, and creative expression. There was also jewelry, peace pillows, flutes, and drums for sale. One particularly fun attendee, investigated the vendors without shoes to be ready just in case a dancable song was played.

It was a lovely event and we enjoyed sharing our peace education work with others who were also enthusiastic about peace, each in their own unique way!
