Sounds of Hope Fundraiser at Potter's House

Friday was the 6th annual Sounds of Hope Fundraiser for Little Friends for Peace at the Potter's House. It was a great turn out. There was a lot of connecting and reconnecting going on between LFFP Volunteers, Supporters, and all who were able to make it to the event. Sixteen Children from the LFFP Peace Room at the Perry School were able to attend the event, with the help of Perry School Staff member, Tamika. They shared the Peace pledge and some songs with those in attendance. The children were also able to ride the Peace Train throughout the room, showing how it can be an important step in diffusing a conflict between friends. Tommy Park gave a presentation about LFFP, its goals, and what it offers for those who were unfamiliar with the program. Following the presentation was fellowship throughout those supporting LFFP and its volunteers while different groups performed on stage. The event went very well and was a great way to share LFFP with the DC Community. Thank you to those who were able to make it, and for those of you who were unable to attend LFFP missed you and hope you are well.
