Sursum Corda Children Visit the Peace Oasis

The Oasis has been busy during the Christmas season, as another group of peace children also came out to enjoy it. Sursum Corda is a subsidized housing complex located adjacent to the Perry School Community Services Center, in which the LFFP Peace Room is located. Ann Little, the community’s matriarch and LFFP Board Member gathered several children who live in Sursum Corda and regularly participate in LFFP activities to visit the Oasis on the 5th day of Christmas. Highlighting the peace experience was the Christmas story told by the children to special guest Fr. Larry in the Mother Theresa Room. Also exciting for the children was braving the cold to ride bikes, play in the field, and swing on the tire swing. LFFP is very grateful to Maryland’s Just Faith group who came out to prepare lunch for the children, fueling them for their fun-filled day in nature.
