LFFP Community Enjoys The Christmas Revels

Many folks from our LFFP community came out to revel in the holiday spirit at our annual viewing of The Christmas Revels. On Friday evening, the Lisner Auditorium was filled in part with 125 peacemakers who engage in our peaceful mission across our DC metro area sites. Children from the Peace Room at Perry and their teachers and mentors joined children from Mt. Rainier and their parents and mentors as well as volunteers and site coordinators at our various camp sites and interns and staff from our administrative office. Everyone enjoyed making new friends, talking of our peace contributions, and especially watching (and participating in!) the winter solstice celebration play! With beautiful music, traditional dance, and wonderfully detailed costumes the Washington Revels put on a spectacular performance set in the Italian Renaissance to herald in the holiday season. It was wonderful seeing all the peacemakers who made it out for the evening and for those of you who missed it, we welcome you to join us for this fun and festive tradition next year.
